How to use a water flosser?

A water flosser is an oral irrigation device that directs a stream of water between your teeth and gums, removing food debris, plaque and bacteria. Combined with daily flossing, an oral irrigator enhances your daily oral routine. Plus, it’s a gentle yet effective way to clean crowns, braces, bridges, and dental implants.

Starting with the lowest pressure setting, tilt the faucet over the sink, then put the tip into your mouth.
Before starting the device, make sure that the tip is parallel to the teeth. By keeping the tip parallel, you can protect sensitive gum tissue during cleaning.
When tilting the sink, turn on the device and let the water flow out of your mouth.
When aligning the gums, slowly and gently pass the tip through the teeth. Thoroughly clean the upper and lower jaws.
When finished, turn off the device. Use the eject button to remove the tip.

A water flosser doesn’t replace your toothbrush or traditional flossing. You still need to brush your teeth twice a day, but you can use the water flosser before or after.

How it works

Like regular flossing, water flossing removes food stuck between your teeth and the bacteria lingering there before it hardens into plaque. Your toothbrush can’t get into those small spaces. Water flossing can also reduce gum disease and bleeding.

Some patients with severe gum and tooth disorders from poor brushing habits have reported a complete turnaround in their dental health after purchasing this device. By doing your research and understanding how to operate a PREC.LIFE water flosser, you can be on your way to excellent oral health in no time.
